How:  The RSI Stainless Steel Printhead with Regulator provides a environmental containment for the Hewlett-Packard ™ housings, electronics, cartridges and regulators normally exposed with the standard open or “bare” printhead.  RSI’s protects these components through the use of an enclosed stainless steel case, overlapping hinged head cover and gasketing around the cartridge openings in the front faceplate.  The faceplate also contains vertical run-off grooves down the front faceplate to channel fluids away from the print cartridges and off the printhead.  

Additional benefit:  This internal enclosed arrangement also fixes the regulator heights to the print cartridges to prevent possible misalignment.
